Why Refugee Education Center (REC)?

The Refugee Education Center is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization with the mission of helping refugee students and families adjust to living in West Michigan.  The Refugee Education Center promotes education and fosters civic engagement.  Over half of newly arriving refugees are children.  Forced to flee their own countries, these children must learn a new language, adjust to a new school and new culture. The Refugee Education Center provides year-round support services focusing on making these transitions successful for students and their families.  Learn more about the Refugee Education Center          .

We want to make this as easy as possible for you.  Once you join the team, the REC will work with you to raise the support.
